Cherry Mountain Lodge #50 Open Air Lodge

The first Open Air Lodge was held on Wildwood Island in Magaguadavic Lake (year 1954) own by W.Bro. Elwood McLean, this was the first of this kind in the province of N.B., the second one was five years after.

47 years later, the third one was held on Spruce Island in Oromocto Lake leased by P.G.M. Peter Whittaker organized by the W.M. Trent MacLean.

And now 2016, 10 years later, W.M. Robert Lister together with Bro. Dayton Coburn who owns an Island (not sure on the name) in Harvey Lake will hold the 4th Open Air Lodge, conferring the third degree on three eligible candidates.

Departure time will be at 12:00 noon, 2.9 kms on route 636 from W.W.E. Smith Store. Boats will be at shore to transport brethren over to the Island and back again, of course there will be no charge to go to the Island, but it might cost to get back to the main line, depends on the skipper

 Every individuals will be responsible for their folding chair, small cooler for snacks and drinks, and fly repellent in the event there might be bugs that day.

 A barbecue supper and social time will follow after everyone is back on shore.

Please note that this will depend on the weather, in the event of rain, the degree will be held at the Lodge hall, but the barbecue and social time will still be held.
